Madison Elle Beer from Long Island, New York was an early fan of music. She started posting videos in 2012 that featured her singing popular songs. Justin Bieber, a pop idol, found her version of Etta's "At Last" within a short time and posted the track with his 25 million plus followers on Twitter. The media attention that followed led to her signing a record contract with Island Records and a management agreement with Bieber's manager following year. In the year that followed, Beer was also cast as a supporting character in the independent film Louder Than Words, which included David Duchovny and made its debut at the film festival in 2013. Her debut single, the poppy, melismatic "Melodies," also saw its release later in the year.Beer's vocals were first heard on songs by other artists including Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and 2015's club track "I Won't Let You walk away" by Mako. She released her debut solo EP As She Pleases in the year of 2018. The single "Home with You", that climbed the Top 30 in Norway, was also a smash. The EP made it to the top of the Billboard 200. The same year, Beer issued the non-album single "Hurts Like Hell" featuring Offset.
