Amanda Brugel

Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire is a sleepy area on the island of Montreal known as the West Island. There is a West Island, which is frequently referred to as a separate "island" west of Montreal by those unfamiliar with it, actually is a whole area east of Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to be a native of the West Island, although her visit was very brief. Brugel grew up in Courtice near Oshawa, Ontario. Early ambitions were to be an experienced dancer. However, a growth surge meant she had outgrown the dancers she had with. She admitted in an article written by The Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall, even when she was wearing heels. When I outgrew my male counterparts I became a bit too big and quit. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. In Brugel's situation, she was encouraged by an instructor of drama in the high school. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to take on a part in the annual school production. Following a trial, she got the role of leading female in Anne of Green Gables. It was her turn to be awarded a Fine Arts Talent scholarship at York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with a Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in 2000.
